1960 Jeep FC 150 Forward Control. E-BAY canceled my listing cause I didn't have it in the right category, Sorry to all who where watching and bidding.
I am the 3rd owner of the Jeep. It is a Phoenix Arizona jeep. I got it from the 2nd owner who had it sitting in his backyard for over 30 years while he took care of family raising. He bought it from a neighbor who used it for hunting elk and deer. Hence the dealer installed camper which I kept and goes with it. If you are looking for and original unmolested jeep...this is the one. I can't call it a barn find cause technically it was in the backyard. That being said the interior was toasted from the sun and the front windshield gasket had a leak, which caused a little rust on the floor board and windshield header. I saved the piece I cut out and butt welded in a new piece. Other than that there is no rust or pitting anywhere else on the frame or body. The body is very nice and straight. I pulled off the bed and detailed the chassis. I repainted it the original color of white and green. The interior is mostly the original paint but I sprayed a little where it was scratched from use and it looks very nice. I put in new repro floor mats, door seals and window fuzzies, headlight switch, horn relay, dimmer switch, and most of the bulbs, and a water pump, has new windshield gasket. Some wheel cylinders are also rebuilt as well at the master cyl and had the original seats reupholstered and made up new cardboard panels from what was left of the originals. It also has new shocks and I recently put on Super Swampers in the original size. I have a lot of hours and love in this Jeep and took great pains to keep it just as it left the factory. Its a survivor Jeep that gets more heads turning than anything else I have ever owned.
The Jeep drives down the road real nice and has a nice ride to it. You won't go very fast as it geared real low. All 9 forward speeds work as they should. Top speed is around 50-55 mph but it is winding at that. It feels more comfortably running around 40 mph.
I will not reveal the reserve so please don't ask but it is priced to sell. I need the room for another car that is now cooking in the sun till I have some room in the garage. I can help load the car but shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Call me at 602.510.7979 for any questions about the jeep. I've tried to represent it as best as I can. I'd recommend sending someone to look over the jeep before bidding.
