This car is a 1 year only car, built after the 240z and just before the 280z was released. It has the bigger 2.6 engine which has been rebuilt and has less than 10k miles on it since. It has the dual SU carbs, header, electronic ignition and all is in great working condition. There is a mild cam in it and it has a little bit of a lope to it but its not to radical, still very streetable. There are no engine or transmission issues, does not get hot.
the body is pretty straight with the exception of a door scrape and a few places where rust is starting to bubble the paint in the lower fender, bottom of 1 side of the rear glass and near the driver mirror. floors and rear trunk spare tire well are great. no major accidents or rust ever. This car looks good but it was a older restoration done back in or around 1987. it was a cheapo job and does have orange peel but no runs. probably an older scheib or maco job. Still has a decent shine and looks ok but its not a show car.
The interior is really nice. Seats are done in tweed and in excellent shape, carpet, headliner and cargo area are very good, the door panels look decent but are slighty warped. the front of dash is great but top has about 5 cracks in it. no rust on front leading edge that touches windshield. all gauges look great as well as the radio area and center console.
The glass is all in good shape, no cracks, scratches from sanding or seperation. All of the trim is in good condition with minimal surface rust in some areas. Rear glass rubber is great as well as the front. The side markers, tail lights and reverse lenses are all good.
All of the suspension is old and should probably be gone through but it does track straight, stop and steer good. Brakes do no shake, shimmy or pull, tears wear good and are in need of replacing soon due to old age. Tires are over 10 years old.
The front valance is missing as well as all 4 rubber bumper corners. Was originally an ac car but compressor is no longer in the car. Missing dome light cover. Other than that its all there and functional. Overall its a solid mostly stock and original 240z car which is getting very difficult to find. It runs and drives well enough to take it around to shows and back and forth to work but I would do tires and some suspension to drive it comfortably cross country or a long road trip. No concerning issues of any type, but it is an old car (41 years old) and will need attention here and there because it is not a 100% restored car so things will come up. This is a great running and driving car as is or would make an excellent track car or restoration project.
